Funke Akindele's acting career dates back to
the time that she was just a young girl. But
she did not hit the limelight until she wrote,
produced and featured in her award
winning film, Jenifa. Ever since, her profile
has risen and unfortunately, exposed her to
one scandal after the other.
For example, her alleged romance with
fellow actor, Femi Adebayo, made headlines
sometime ago, though both denied the
allegation. Now it is rumoured that Funke
and Femi recently had a fight in one hotel in
Abeokuta. Femi is said to have accused
Funke of infidelity and in anger, he had
stormed out of the hotel.
As at the time of going to press, Life and
Beat could not reach Funke, as all her
phones were switched off. But a source
close to the actress said she was not dating
Femi.
"There was a time when both of them were
very close. But due to some things that
happened, which I cannot tell you, Funke
has been on her own and she is not dating
Femi.We know where the story is coming
from and why they are peddling such a
wicked rumour. Funke was not in any hotel
in Abeokuta. She told me so and I believe
her. Those carrying this rumour should
desist from it and allow this young girl to
carry on with her career," the source said.
