Aidoo,Chimamanda,3 others for creative writing workshop

Ama Ata Aidoo, celebrated Ghanaian writer,
popular for her novels “The Dilemma of a
Ghost” and “Anowa” among others; the
Caine Prize Winning Kenyan writer,
Binyavanga Wainaina and founding editor
of “Kwani”, the first literary magazine in
East Africa since Transition Magazine; South
African writer, Niq Mhlongo famous for his
first novel “Dog Eat Dog” translated into
Spannish under the title Perro ComePerro in
2006; and Chika Unigwe, a Nigerian born
author who writes in both English and
Dutch are the heavyweight writers to assist
Nigeria’s award winning writer and creative
director of Farafina Trust, Chimamanda
Ngozi Adichie, in this year’s edition of the
Nigerian Breweries sponsored Farafina
Trust Creative Writing Workshop scheduled
to begin on 20 May in Lagos.
The workshop will take the form of an
interactive class session where participants
will be assigned a wide range of reading, as
well as daily writing exercises.
