Roo is Bearded hobo in new Tv ads

AN UNSHAVEN, miserable Wayne
Rooney takes a mouthful of cold
beans on the doorstep of his grotty
caravan on an overcast day in
Manchester.
But England fans need not worry.
The star striker hasn't been thrown out
on his ear by the missus and he hasn't
piled on the pounds since Manchester
United missed out on the Premier
League trophy.
He was merely filming a scene for a
brilliant new Nike football ad.
Wayne is the star-turn of the latest
commercial, which is destined to be a
huge talking point when it hits TV
screens across the globe next Saturday.
The idea
behind the
"Write The
Future"
campaign is
how the
slightest
margin of
error can lead
to the
ultimate glory
- or utter
dejection.
In Rooney's case the advert shows the
star slipping a pass to team-mate Theo
Walcott in the dying seconds of a
crunch World Cup game against France
with the score poised at 1-1.
Bayern Munich star Frank Ribery makes
a heroic interception, ending any
hopes of England glory.
The following scenes show Wayne
dropping to his knees, deep in thought
as he considers his life hitting rock
bottom.
He imagines a depressing physical
decline, ending with a classic pot belly
and wild ginger beard.
And the scenes, which were shot at
Millwall's Den earlier this year, prove
he's not just the country's best striker -
but an accomplished actor too.
Other international star appearing in
the ad include Didier Drogba, Fabio
Cannavaro, Cristiano Ronaldo,
Ronaldinho, Theo Walcott, Cesc
Fabregas and Iniesta.
This advert is the next story in Nike
Football, famed for bringing football
fans the best World Cup ads over the
years.
