Nike worldcup and exclusive

FOOTBALL'S biggest stars have been
given a glimpse into their futures —
with Nike's stunning new TV advert.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney,
Didier Drogba and ... er... Homer
Simpson all play a part in the three-
minute film, which was made by
Hollywood director and producer
Alejandro G Inarritu.
It will be shown on TV for the first time
across 32 countries during Saturday's
Champions League final between Inter
and Bayern Munich.
But you can see it here first with your
stonking SunSport.
Watch our fantastic 10-minute behind-
the-scenes documentary on the
making of the ad below.
The video includes an exclusive full
showing of the TV advert, which marks
the launch of Nike's "Write the Future"
campaign.
It begins with Drogba weaving his way
past defenders before chipping the
keeper.
But celebrations are cut short after the
acrobatic intervention of Cannavaro
and this is where the story really kicks
off.
We see Cannavaro's future mapped out
with chat show appearances and even
a song being released in praise of the
goal-line clearance.
Rooney's career-defining moment sees
him cross swords with Franck Ribery.
He loses the ball and we fast forward
to Rooney living in a caravan and
working as a groundsman, with his
career in tatters.
Rooney wins the ball back and his
future has changed dramatically, with
a knighthood in the offing.
Real Madrid hotshot Ronaldo also has a
big part to play.
As he lines up to take a vital free-kick
for Portugal we discover that if he
scores he can expect to have a movie
made of his life story and a stadium
named in his honour.
Ronaldo summed the advert up,
saying: "Every touch you have in a
game has the ability to change the
entire course of not just those 90
minutes but your entire tournament or
season.
"One touch of the ball can be an
opportunity to leave your mark on the
game and write your own future, or
equally a moment missed, that creates
a legacy for your opponent with their
fans."
