Al Pacino,Uma Thurman victim of $30 million ponzi scheme

There’s a new Bernie
Madoff in town, and his
name is Kenneth Starr. He
is the mastermind behind
a $30 Ponzi scheme that
stole money from huge
celebrities including Uma
Thurman, Al Pacino,
Sylvester Stallone, Annie Leibovitz, Martin
Scorcese, and Wesley Snipes.
Starr, who lives in Manhattan, made business
deals at charity events and parties, building a
star-studded client list of socialites,
financiers, philanthropists, A-list actors and
Hall of Fame athletes.
Bernie Madoff Sentenced to 150 Years in
Prison
But he was caught yesterday, when he was
arrested in his $7.5 million condo in NYC
where he lives with his wife. Funny enough,
she’s the one who told authorities he was
hiding upstairs in the closet.
Annie Leibovitz said in a statement: "News of
Ken Starr's arrest does not come as a
complete surprise to me, and I will follow this
story with great interest. Ken Starr no longer
represents me and has not for some time."
Thurman ended up confronting Starr
personally about $1 million that had
mysteriously gone missing from her
account. The money was then put back in
the account, and then Starr took it out of the
account of another client, an agent and his
wife.
U.S. attorney Pete Bharara told the New York
Times, “He used his access to famous and
powerful clients to burnish an image of
trustworthiness, inducing them to entrust
him with management and control of their
financial affairs.”
We know where this story is going! Bernie
Madoff is currently serving a 150-year
sentence for ripping tens of billions of
dollars from high-profile clients. Looks like
Starr’s fate will be similar. Maybe they can be
cell mates!
