Royal Root bags 4 nomination @ Monte Carlo Telfest

Royal Roots Communications Network Limited, last week, with My
Mom & I, garnered four nominations when the nominees for the
50th edition of the Monte Carlo International Television Festival
were released.
The nominations were in Best Television Drama, International
Producer, Debbie and Greg Odutayo; Best Actor, Gbenga
Windapo; while the duo of Ufuoma Ejenobor and Aramide
Okegbenro were both nominated for best actress.
The winners in each category will be announced at the Festival’s
prestigious Golden Nymph Award ceremony on
Thursday 10th June 2010. An international jury representing all
creative aspects of television will select the winners and in each
category, four Gold Nymphs will be awarded to the Best
International Producer, Best European Producer, Best Actor and
Best Actress.
Speaking to our correspondent, Greg Odutayo, Executive
Producer of Royal Roots Communications Network Limited, noted
that the recent nominations are a further attestation to the top
class quality of company ’s productions, adding that his outfit will
continue to push out jobs that can compete with like productions
from any part of the world.
“Of course, we give God the glory. It is a further attestation to the
high quality of our productions. International best practice has
always been our watchword. We go to great extent to ensure that
we our works can hold their own against any other production
from any part of the world, ” said Greg Odutayo.
“This goes to show that it was not a flash in the pan when Edge of
Paradise first was nominated during the 47th edition of the same
awards. But then, it is also a challenge to us. It means we can ’t
afford a drop in standard. We must continue to improve,” he
concluded.
The festival has continued to be the foremost and serious creative
event covering all genres of television programming like no other
of its kind worldwide. The award ceremony comes up between
6th and 10th of June, 2010.
