The disco light and other special lighting
apparatus made the ambience an electrifying
sight last Saturday night when the big names in
Nigerian music stormed OceanView Water
Front Garden at Victoria Island in Lagos for
Coca-Cola FWC 2010 VIP celebration concert.
The concert tagged “Celebration”, according to
the Strategic Marketing Manager (Colas), Coca-
Cola Nigeria Limited, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, was
aimed at celebrating the numerous consumers
of Coca-Cola brand as well as ushering in the
2010 World Cup.
According to her, “It became imperative for
Coca-Cola to organise a concert of this
magnitude to underscore the fact that FIFA
World Cup will be played on the African soil for the very first time.
The celebration concert is also aimed at celebrating the qualification
of the Super Eagles as well as spurring them to perform creditably
in South Africa. ”
She disclosed that apart from being FIFA official partner, Coca-
Cola is also the official sponsor of Nigerian football teams, saying
fans will have the opportunity to watch matches live in South
Africa through celebration dance promos that will reward loyal
customers across the country.
