King Sunny Ade unveils Sound and Pen Estate

Amidst excitement and fanfare, juju
maestro, King Sunny Ade on Tuesday
unveiled the prototype of Sound & Pen
Estate, a joint venture of the Performing
Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and
Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos
State.
At a grand occasion held at the PMAN
secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos, KSA pledged his
total support for the musician association as
it embarks on numerous projects including
the estate located in Ofada, Ogun State;

Network (MDN) and collection society,
among others.
“On behalf of myself, my band and my
family, I pledge my total support to all your
projects. I am available for you any time.
Please, don’t hesitate to come to me for
anything,” KSA said amidst cheers.
Earlier, the PMAN President, Admiral Dele
Abiodun, had reeled out the achievements
of his association since he mounted the
saddle last year, and also told the audience
about his impending projects.
“PMAN has once again embarked on a
project known as PMAN-Nigeria Music Hall of
Fame in partnership with an agency, Classic
Events Ventures. It is not out of place to
state here that Nigeria has indeed over the
years produced great musicians of world
class including a living legend like your
imperial majesty, King Sunny Ade,” Abiodun
said.
He added: “The PMAN-Nigeria Hall of Fame is
designed to have such project components,
features and facilities like the museum,
which is the hall of fame, PMAN National
Headquarters and Music Academy, among
others.”
On his part, Mr. Wahab Oba, Chairman, Lagos
NUJ, said the estate is for journalists and
musicians in Lagos. He enjoined his
colleagues to make good use of the
opportunity.
The ceremony attracted top artistes and
personalities like Mr. Badejo Okunsanya, CEO,
