Madonna’s
estranged
brother
Christopher Ciccone seems to
think he’s a celebrity. He’s
reportedly lobbying to get on
American Idol to take Simon
Cowell’s place.
He created a Facebook page
called “Christopher Ciccone for
American Idol” in January, and
has since gotten 600 people to
back him.
He told Page Six, “I think I can
bring a particular kind of
credibility to the show. ”
Ciccone use to work with his
sister Madonna as her assistant,
and then went on to be a back-
up dancer for her on tour. Other
odd jobs included stylist, and
even artistic director. “I’d be the
only person sitting at the table
who actually created a pop star
from the beginning, and helped
keep her there for 20 years, ” he
claimed. “I know what it takes to
make it.”
Ciccone doesn’t think he has
much competition either. “I think
Howard Stern is a great guy, but
it ’s difficult to see him sitting
there, with the demographic he
brings to the table, ” said. “And I
know producers are talking to
Perez Hilton, although he ’s
probably the only person who
doesn ’t realize how irrelevant he
is.”
But one person Christopher is
sucking up to is the newest
judge, Ellen Degeneres. He told
the paper, “I like Ellen. She’s got
the regular-folks appeal. I really
love the show. It ’s become part
of the American dream.”
This guy is delusional if he thinks
he could be one of the judges.
They ’re obviously going to pick
someone in the music industry
who has a little credibility!
