America.

drug convictions - flew into New York
for a gig with JOHN LENNON's son
SEAN.
The LIBERTINES singer was hoping
customs officials would turn a blind
eye to his wild past - but was put back
on a flight to London just hours later.
Doherty told pals he wanted to crack
the States despite its strict ban on drug
offenders. One said: "He thought he
could get away with it. He was wrong."
Sean, 34, spoke of his sadness at
Doherty not joining him for Thursday's
show. A fan said: "He stressed it wasn't
Pete's fault."
