The London club clinched a thrilling victory over Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.
Didier Drogba fired Chelsea into football heaven with the winning spot kick as the Blues won 4-3 after the final ended 1-1.
England have lost twice to Germany in penalty shoot-outs — in the semi-final of the 1990 World Cup and at the same stage of Euro ’96.
But Ivory Coast striker Drogba sparked scenes of jubilation among players, officials and fans.
Goalie Peter Cech had helped set up the victory with THREE penalty saves — one in extra time which ended 1-1. For once it was a German team’s turn to cry after tasting penalty misery.

COMIC Russell Brand cheekily led the celebrations yesterday as West Ham won promotion to the Premier League.
Lifelong fan Brand — who watched the game at home in Los Angeles — tweeted: “Happiest I’ve been alone in a room since I was 14.”
The Hammers returned to the top flight after beating Blackpool 2-1 in a tense Championship play-off final in front of a 78,500 Wembley crowd.
Striker Ricardo Vaz Te scored the winner three minutes from the end — a goal worth £90million to the club.

Wem-bubbly ... West Ham fans
The delighted player was booked for tearing off his shirt as delirious West Ham fans sang the club’s anthem I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.
And Brand tweeted: “VAZ TE!!! Play the last five minutes nude, you beautiful b******.”
But Blackpool fans were left counting the cost of their devastating defeat.
As well as a massive payday for their club, they had hoped for a major boost for the Lancashire resort’s economy from visiting top-flight supporters.
