Despite all the rumors circulating over the most popular merger since peanut butter and jelly, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not set a wedding date yet.
Pitt showed up at the Cannes Film Festival and, during a press conference for his new film Killing Them Softly, he cleared up all the rumors about when the actual wedding will take place: He didn’t know.
"We actually, really and truly, have no date,” Pitt announced at the conference.
Maybe they’ll pull a Zuckerberg and do it on some random weekend when we’re not looking. (Though keeping a high-profile nuptial ceremony like this under wraps would be about as easy as hiding a Great Dane in your carry-on.)
Pitt went on to say that, given the opportunity to co-star in a movie again as they did in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the couple would jump at the chance.
They got engaged earlier this year when Pitt proposed with his children present and a massive 16-carat ring. Marriage was something the kids had been insisting on, especially Maddox, 10.
In Killing Them Softly, Pitt plays a killer named Jackie Cogan who works with the mob to protect a series of high-stake poker games that have a habit of being robbed. Pitt also co-produced the film, which blends the gangster genre with a modern day comment on the economic crisis.
Missing from the event was Jolie. US Weekly reports she was prepping for a movie of her own film called Maleficent that starts shooting in the summer.
