Nigerian rap artiste and one of Chocolate City’s ambassadors,
Panshak Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince, emerged the Best African
Act, at the 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Award ceremony.
Ice Price ‘defeated other big acts to clinch the coveted prize. The prize presentation was held at the Dome of Accra International Conference Center.
Ice Prince was given the award after performing with other artistes like Choc Boys’ MI and Brymo at the event. He defeated artistes such as Naeto C, Duncan Mighty, D’banj, Cabo Snoop and Wizkid to win the award
WG gathered that Ice Prince’s emergence as the Best African Act was not unconnected with his hit tracks “Superstar and Oleku”, which enjoyed massive airplay in Ghana.
By winning the award, Ice Prince has measured up with other internationally acclaimed Nigerian acts like 2face, Flavour, D’banj and P-Square. The young rapper now has chances of promoting his music internationally, especially in Africa.
