Terry G survive accident

Dancehall act, Gabriel Oche Amanyi a.k.a Terry G threw industry loyalists and fans into a brief panic last Saturday when he crashed his Camry into a road demarcation and ended up in the hospital lost in coma.
The news spread like wild fire and many panicked recalling quickly the recent painful exit of rapper Da Grin under similar circumstance and hoped to God that Terry wouldn’t end up same way.

A Tuesday visit to the Triumph Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos where he was admitted immediately after the incident and a release by his spokesperson have doused the fears and assure that the ginjah master will not be dying from the incident.
Terry G aka Hit man or Ginjah master has been discharged from the hospital.
The release read in part: “ Contrary to earlier reports that Dancehall act, Gabriel Oche Amanyi a.k.a Terry G may be flown abroad for further treatment as a result of complications arising from his near_fatal auto crash which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning the 5th of September; we can authoritatively reveal that the musician was allowed to go home to further recuperate at about 4:00pm on Wednesday the 8th of September”
The resident doctor of Triumph Hospital, Dr. Morenikeji in a chat with Vanguard’s Entertainment Editor; Ogbonna Amadi, said Terry was brought in unconscious at about 3.30am on Saturday morning and that he only accepted to treat him because he (Terry) was his regular patient. Otherwise, his condition was critical enough for referral.
“He had injury on the left side of his head and complained of pains in his neck. The first thing we did was to stabilize him, and then run some tests and scans to find out if he had internal injuries”, Dr Morenikeji said. He continued, “He came out of coma briefly at some point but we had to sedate him again so that the distractions in the environment wouldn’t upset him because there were lots of people trying to see him”.
The singer cum producer had his first real meal consisting bread and tea on Tuesday morning. DanceHall act Timaya had stormed the Ikeja Hospital same day demanding to see his friend and refusing to be bought over by the doctor’s ‘he’s sleeping’ tale. His action was understandable considering the alleged lackadaisical medical attention and the economy of truth that culminated in late rapper Da Grin’s death few months back.
Terry was allegedly returning from a meeting together with two members of his crew when the unfortunate incident happened. He was driving before he rammed his dark army green Toyota Camry car into a slab some few meters away from Chemiron Pharmaceuticals on Metalbox road, off WEMCO road in Ogba, Ikeja and lost control. His House of Ginjah crew members in the vehicle; Banton, IQ and Rakwell sustained minor cuts and bruises and were released from the hospital the same day the accident happened.
The release quoted Terry to have mumbled after his release “ I am getting better and I hope to be back on my feet soon. I want to thank all my fans and well wishers for their concern. Their love and care is even making me stronger. Thank God I am alive and getting better.”
Dr Morenikeji says discharged Terry G will be wearing bloodshot eyes and a neck collar for a while. Already a few people have spotted the artiste in his neck collar.
