The man was arrested at the junction adjoining University road and St Finbarrs College road Akoka by plain cloth policemen (mufti), and before the Okada man could give his account of what happened, the policemen descended on the Okadaman, beating him mercilessly and later stripping him naked.
They continued the attack, as the Okada man was struggling to cover his nakedness. He should have been killed by the law enforcement officers, but the intervention of Nigerians around, who were videoing and taking pictures of the Naked Okada man, ensured that the officer stopped their attack.
We are appealing to the Lagos state Commissioner of Police and the State Governor to ensure that these rogue officers are arrested and prosecuted.
The 'Aluuish' action must not be tolerated any longer in this country.
