Oh. Well, that’s an oddly normal name for a celebrity baby. Shouldn’t it be like Panther or Rock or Fettuccini or something?
Affleck revealed the name this morning on his Facebook timeline, writing: “We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck.”
Garner recently told Jay Leno that Violent and Seraphina were working on coming up with a name for their little brother.
"Our girls are working on names,” Garner said. “At first they were definitely Disney. It was like, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck.”
Yeah, there you go. That’s better. Now those are proper celebrity baby names.
“And then they moved on,” Jennifer continued. “Then it was Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee. They’re coming up with lists and coming in and saying, ‘Let’s have a baby-naming contest! Let’s have a baby naming poll! They ask everyone, because they just want to know. But we’re not telling.”
Ben and Jen announced the pregnancy back in August. Jennifer kept quiet on the baby’s gender, but she did hint at what Ben was hoping for: "I would have thought [he wanted a boy]. At first...I really thought so. And then [Ben] kind of said, 'Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I'm the big guy in the house.' So, now I'm not sure."
