Zac Efron: Dropping Condoms at 'The Lorax' Premiere Was a 'Great Message'

Thank god for Matt Lauer, who is not only unafraid to ask Lindsay Lohan about her future, he’s also called Zac Efron out for his ‘The Lorax’ condom incident.

In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, Efron attended The Lorax premiere on February 19, where he accidentally dropped a condom or five on the red carpet.

“There's something that also brought a lot of attention to the movie, Zac, at the premiere. So you want to take me through it?" Lauer teased, during Zac’s appearance on the Today show.

"I don't want it take you through it," Efron quipped, noticeably squirming. "I never had a pocket-checking policy prior to going onto the red carpet before. But now we fully instated one!”

I love that Zac Efron just carries condoms in his pockets like they’re tic tacs and he might want to pop one on at any given time.

“You dropped a condom?” Lauer flat-out asked (by the way he deserves a Pulitzer).

“Yeah,” Efron admitted, blushing. “It was really hard for you to say!”

“Better to be safe than sorry,” Lauer joked.

Efron agreed, saying, “It’s a great message!”

So basically, this whole ‘The Lorax’ condom thing is just one big PSA: “Use condoms. Go see ‘The Lorax.’” Zac also recently revealed his first crush: his babysitter. “Her name was Brook. I guess she was in high school and I was 12 or younger. I had a really big crush on her. She was really spontaneous and fun. I guess I did have my young love. Me and my brothers did everything to impress her which was ridiculous really.”

Britney Spears Settles Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Just to clear things up, Britney Spears is involved in two lawsuits right now. Her former manager Sam Lufti is suing her for breach of contract and her former body guard is also suing her for sexual harassment, but she settled that one today.

Hey! One down, one more to go.

Apparently Britney’s former bodyguard, Fernando Flores, was just trying to milk Britney for money and sources close to Britney say the lawsuit was ridiculous as he only “worked for her for about a minute,” this according to TMZ.

Britney and Fernando went before a private mediator and the case is closed. I wonder how much Britney had to shell out to shut him up?

Anyways, in case you aren’t familiar with this lawsuit, let me jog your memory.

Fernando says he was a victim of sexual harassment courtesy of Britney Spears. Flores says Britney “intentionally dropped her cigarette lighter on the floor, bent over to retrieve it and thereby exposed her uncovered genitals to [Flores].” I’m sure if this event occurred during Britney’s “I’m a Slave 4 U” pre-train-wreck era, this guy would be all about it. Just saying.

The suit also said, "In addition to exposing herself to [Flores], Spears engaged in numerous sex acts in front of [Flores]."

Apparently this scene caused Flores “shock and disgust.” I can see how “that’s my va jay jay y’all” could be really frightening.

Britney also once allegedly invited him into her room where she was standing naked and ordered Fernando to bring her two bottles of 7 up. Oh Britney, she always struck me as Dr. Pepper kind of girl. Lol, also naked what?!

My mood determines what I wear – Akpoborie

Jonathan Akpoborie, is a former Super Eagles player who spent most of his  football career in Germany. He is currently a FIFA Licensed  players agent.
In this interview with Hi Groove,  Akpoborie opens  up on his life on the football pitch and why he loves to dress the way he does.
Excerpt:
In the Beginning
I started off my footballing life playing the Felele football on the street with friends.
Although football was not taken seriously in our time, we still enjoyed the game.
My  passion for football was inspired by the exploits of my elder brother who was a good footballer then.
His performances in school and in competitive football matches between our school and others,  contributed very much to my loving the round game.
As I grew up and got more involved in the game, I took to watching the television to see how big teams competed against each other. I particularly enjoyed watching the English and Brazilians teams because I thought their pattern of play was fascinating. All of these helped in developing my interest in the game.
My journey to stardom began when I was invited   to join the Under-17 national team and I thank God I didn’t disappoint the coaches.
My success at that level and the club  also  contributed to my making the senior national team, the Super Eagles.
To be modest, I was one of the lucky few from Ajegunle that ever made it to the national team.
And that’s why I’m doing my best to help those talented players who don’t  have the opportunity to take their football trade to higher level.
I started off my professional football career with the Julius Berger football club, before moving on to the United State of America.
In 1990, I joined  FC Saarbrucken, a second Bundesliga clubside in German. I also had  spells with FC Carl Zeiss Jena and Stuttgart Kickers where I emerged top scorer with 37 goals in one season.
In 1995, I joined top-flight Hansa Rostock but two years later, I moved over to their rival team VFB Stuttgart and then VFL Wolfsburg in 1999. I  retired from active footballing after a spell with Saarbrucken in 2002.
Life outside football
*Akpoborie
I try to live a normal life. But its tough. Life after retirement is difficult because whenever you stop playing football, you begin to learn the process of getting over routine training everyday. You also learn to adapt to a new life style  different from the one you spent flying around the world for competitions.
It is a difficult task to adapt to a new life style after you’ve spent the better part of your life travelling from one country to another. Really, life outside  football is not easy.
But I had to adjust to a normal lifestyle. It is a new life all together, because no coach would disturb you to come out for training or say you have not worked hard enough to warrant a shirt in the team. Truly, it’s freedom sort of, but I still work out to keep in shape. You need to keep in shape all the time.
Exercise
Yes, I still exercise and play football regularly with my friends, because its  good for my health.
Mood and dressing
My mood determines what I wear everyday. But I like to dress well. I also follow the trend in fashion because I don’t want to be left behind.
I like being fashionable all the time. And just like they say it, I Iove looking good because its good business.
Although, I don’t dress to stand out, I love wearing comfortable things. I wear only things that look good on me, designer or not.
I don’t like  wearing loud coloured or flashy dresses because I hate drawing attention to my self. I wear corporate dresses most of the time when I am going out for business. .
Accessories
I love  good and quality shoes and my preference depends on my mood. I also compliment it with good wrist watches and good perfumes. I also love chains and necklaces a lot.
Women and I
I have female admirers and I respect them a lot. It is very unfortunate that in this part of the world men don’t respect women. For some men they have their reasons for not doing so , but I feel women should better  respected.
Smoking and Drinking
I have done virtually everything in life during my active days in football. The only thing I never practised is smoking.
I learnt about the danger in smoking as a child especially having seen so many people die from it. So I never indulged  in the act.  But I drink socially. I only drink stuff that I’m  comfortable with.
Likes and dislikes
I hate crowd and I don’t like places that are crowded. It is more disturbing when one walks into a place and the people chase after you. It is the price one pays for fame. I like private places because most of the time I like to be left alone.
Food and fruits
I don’t like solid foods like eba and , pounded Yam. Instead, I prefer rice, plantain and salad. I also like spaghetti. I got used to these foods during my playing days as a footballer. These were the food we ate as footballers.
I also enjoy eating plenty of fruits but my favourite is orange.

14-yr-old kid lectures Peter Okoye on Twitter

Hell was let loose on social network, Twitter during the week when a 14 year old kid took on Peter Okoye of the P-Square fame, lecturing him on the rules of  grammar.
Peter  innocently took to Twitter to announce the lucky winner of the P-Suqare’s  Fan of The Month give-away prize. Ok peeps check dis out!…dis person deserve to be my fan of the month. No ojoro, Peter tweeted.
*Peter
But unfortunately for the superstar, a brilliant 14 year-old girl would not let go of his wrong use of words, as she corrected him out-rightly, especially when  he used the word ‘deserve’ in place of a singular noun of ‘deserves.’
English mistress thank u RT @Hazelavelie: *deserves RT @PeterPsquare: Ok peeps check dis out!…dis person deserve to be my fan of the month. No ojoro, he tweeted again.
Unable to bear the insult after the little girl corrected his  bad English, Peter rained insults on the little girl, wishing that he could see her face to face. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found on Twitter.
Barking like a wounded dog, Peter vented his anger this way: I don’t think she’s up to 14yrs old and I don’t knw if she’s on twitter… But of cos her fbook name is Chantal Tcheou.
Thank u my dear.RT @MumcieCJ: @PeterPsquare sum idiots on twitter looking out for people’s mistakes “in english” like dey are perfect. NONSENSE!!!Too know…., Peter blasted out.
Surprisingly, the same fan with the Twitter name Chantal Tcheou won Peter’s Fan of The Month gifts of Ipad2 and other goodies.

9ice clashes with 2Face, P-Square others in concert

For listeners of good music and fans of 9ice, its D-Day on March 11 as Cecil Hammond’s Flytime Entertainment hosts 9ice in a show dubbed  Bashorun Gaa and Versus (BGV) concert.
It is the first time the multiple awards winning and former  MTV Base African artiste of the year, will be headlining his own major concert.
*9ice, Tuface & PSquare
“It promises to be a clash of the titans, a night dedicated to the celebration of 9ice and all that he stands for in the music industry. It is a night his fans will have a first hand taste of the undiluted music of 9ice. It’s a night dedicated to all his fans and colleagues who have over the years supported his career” 9ices’s manager, Oladehinde Fajana told newsmen during the week.
“The night is also special because, 9ice will be squaring up against all the musicians he collaborated with in his Bashorun Gaa Versus album” Oladehinde also added.
And surely it’s going to be a night of  the heavyweight and A-list musicians in the country.
Leading the pack is the African Queen crooner, 2Face Idibia, P-square, Tiwa Savage  Banky W, Duncan Mighty, Terry G and  Whizkid.
The list also has prominent names like Lord of Ajasa, Dammy Crane, Davido, Modenine, Yemi Sax, Seriki, YQ, DJ Zeez and the Ajayi brothers.
The surprise element is the appearance of names of some members of  the Coded Tones, (9ice’s former group) namely 2Phat and  ID Cabasa his former producer and friend of so many years. Perhaps the move is to convince doubting Thomases that all is well in the family.
